Spurs' European final hero Brennan Johnson confronts an unclear situation at the club amid growing Premier League interest in the attacker.
Sources suggest that Tottenham, while not actively looking to part with the Wales international, are receptive to letting Johnson leave if they get a substantial offer.
The Eagles are presently the club furthest along in their interest for Johnson, but other teams are thought to be monitoring his situation closely.
Last Campaign of Mixed Fortunes
Johnson was Spurs' top Premier League goalscorer last season with eleven strikes, and etched his name in club history by netting the winner in their European final victory against United last season, bringing to a close the club's seventeen-year wait for a major honor.
However, the exit of the previous manager and appointment of Thomas Frank has meant Johnson playing more of a reduced role in the current campaign.
The 24-year-old, has made only 6 Premier League starts this term.
Transfer Window Speculation Mounts
Consequently, a number of clubs have been made aware of his likely exit ahead of the January transfer window.
Considering his reduced minutes and the prospect of a global tournament approaching with Wales, a move away from Tottenham could benefit Johnson next month.
The attacker moved to Tottenham from Nottingham Forest in a deal worth £47.5m in the summer of 2023 and has scored 27 goals in all competitions.
